ENHYDRO QUARTZ   (cuarzo de agua)

New find! In February 2006 a load of enhydro quartz crystals with bubbles of water encased inside were found in a "still to be kept secret" area of Mexico. We were lucky enough to be in Mexico City when the lot was brought into the zocalo to be traded and sold.

This quartz specimen has two water bubbles, one that is almost stationary and a smaller one that moves in a 10mm cavity - both towards the crystal point. A very water clear specimen, a real beauty!
